  1. README for libsane-extras

  4.  The libsane-extras package provides some SANE backends not yet included in the
  5.  regular SANE distribution.
  6.  
  7.  Backends currently included in libsane-extras :
  8.   * geniusvp2
  9.   * ls5000
  10.  
  11.  For an history of this package, see changelog.Debian.gz.

  13.  => How to use the backends:
  14.  ---------------------------

  16.  The backends are automatically enabled when libsane-extras is installed. See
  17.  the libsane-extras file in /etc/sane.d/dll.d to enable or disable the backends
  18.  provided by this package. This file is similar to SANE's dll.conf file.
  19.  
  20.  Edit the backend's configuration file, located in /etc/sane.d/, and named
  21.  after the backend.

  23.  => How to get a backend included in this package?

  26.  File a bug with severity "wishlist" against the libsane-extras package, in
  27.  the Debian Bug Tracking System (BTS). See http://bugs.debian.org for more
  28.  information on how to file a bug.

  30.  Include a short description of the backend in your bug report, along with a
  31.  URL where more information can be found, and the place where the backend can
  32.  be downloaded.

  34.  If all goes well, a new revision of the package will be rolled out a few days
  35.  later, including this new backend.
